The
U.S. House of
Representatives passed
House Bill HR2695 also
called The Credit Card
Fair Fee Act which
affects the cost you
pay now to accept
credit cards at your
business saving you up
to 80% of what
you’re current costs
are. The
Texas
Business
Development
Center’s
free service works to
help you obtain the
best possible rates
and fees under the new
law by negotiating new
pricing on your
behalf, saving
you money each and
every month which will
potentially save you
thousands of dollars
each year.
Some businesses are
also eligible for a
rebate for
overcharges (see: Rebate
Info Request)
No
matter what type or
size business you
have, or whatever type
of merchant account
you use, you can now lower
your current costs and
eliminate all those
hidden fees your being
charged (see: Comparison
Chart). And
because you are a
registered Texas
business with a valid
sales tax permit there is never any
cost to change to a
lower rate program and
there is no need to
buy new equipment
because nothing changes, you
are simply issued a new
merchant
identification number
(MID#) with your new lower
rates and fees that
works with the
equipment and
procedures you have
now.
There
are many reasons a
business will change
their credit
card processor, most
because they find out
they are paying to
many fees or their
rates are too high.
With over 256 rates
and fees commonly
associated with
accepting credit cards
called Interchange and
many more bank fees
and with monthly
statements impossible
to understand (see: Understanding
Your Statement)
80% of Texas
businesses are being
overcharged.
Now
you can find out just
how much you could be
saving under the new
federal and state
guidelines by
receiving your Free
Statement Analysis to
see what your paying
now and what you
should be paying under
the new guidelines. We
have already saved
millions of dollars
for thousands of
Texas businesses,
when is the last
time you checked
your statement for
hidden fees and
overcharges?
